Companies Google your name when you apply for a job March 6, 2008

I don’t think the problem is caused by Google, but over all if you apply for a job, they will Google your name and if they can find out what screen name you could use like your email, they could find your blog and decide that you are now the kind of person that fits the image of the company. So, no one should use their real name on line, unless they just don’t care because they live on a trust fund, and will never apply for a real job.

Like Paris Hilton, after making the sex tapes which she wanted people to see by the way, no company would hire her, upon finding her sex tapes on file sharing. But, she is rich enough not to care. But, if you are not wealthy, there is a limit to what you can post on line. You can say, oh it’s ok, I work for a liberal college or what have you, but if you get fired, you never know when you will have to go crawling to a company and beg for a job.
